Finally after 3 years of playing with this pattern off and on I can say I've got it. There is a bit of History to this hood and it will be on my web site when I introduce the Wodan.

Ken,

You have a GIFT.... Your work is beyond words.

If I only had a dab of your skill, I could make a hood.

Thanks for sharing.

Ken,

And that is saying something when a writer and author cannot words to describe something as awesome as your hoods! ;) :D I'm a few days from the completion of my 9th book. It's a collection of falconry stories.

I may have to get one of these hoods for a female Harris hawk -- and train her to a hood, even though I don't usually train my HHs to the hood -- just to have show off the hood! thumbsupp

No worries, Ken. I haven't finished the display for it (when it's not on the tiercel, that is) yet anyway. Like that song by Carole King, "Anticipation....":D:D

Hi Ken,
Beautiful hood, I like the way it fits, particularly around the mouth and how it sits on the head. As always, superb craftsmanship. How are the whitetails this year?

Hello Bob how are you? I have enjoyed your posts. Thank you for your comments on my hoods, much appreciated especially coming from such an expereinced falconer.
Tough winter for sure for both of us. The jack population here is no where near what it used to be. I can remember 12 years ago going out in a field and see 20 feeding, moving around in the open, now lucky to see 2. There still is a healthy population when you talk to the land owners but being able to hawk them is another thing. I rarely see road kills any more and with my monthly visits to Regina, Moose Jaw and Saskatoon I can say pretty much the same thing from what I see and don't see on the side of the highway. Although there still are healthy Hot spots in Moose Jaw near the Museum and right in Regina of all places.
