Bill (GONEHAWKN) and Dave (Red-tail71) were gracious enough to take me out today. Needless to say, I had a great time.
I shot a roll of B&W film on one of my old cameras, then rushed home to develop and scan it. I always have difficulty shooting film in the snow, but this roll came out better than my normal snowy pics.
Here are a couple pics of Bill's redtail:

I was able to see a nice flight by Bill's merlin, but none of my flight pics came out as Id have liked. Here is one of the bird hooded:

That merlin is an awesome little bird.
Thanks, guys, I had a great time. I am going to start making calls this week. Ill email you guys the remainder of the pics from the roll (only 13 or so from the 36 exposures turned out acceptable - Ill get better pics next time!).

Thanks, guys. I like the whole process of shooting, then developing film using 35 year old technology and cameras (or 55+ year old in the case of my rangefinders).

Well my awesome avatar portrait doesnt seem to be helping so I am looking for another way to drum up some suckers...err...volunteers, I meant volunteers! ;) ...to take me out hawking (or, even better, sponsor me as an apprentice). toungeout :D

Well thats a given. Id have to ask whether its possible to trust a falconer (or anyone for that matter) that doesnt like Springsteen. Its Un-American, almost Communist, to dislike The Boss! :D
I kid, I dont discriminate based upon musical preferences.
Or do I... ;)

Mike it was pleasure to have you over here on the shore. I had a blast as usual. Just watching Bill and C.B. work together is an awesome experience in itself. Good luck with the sponsor search and I hope next year you are in full swing. I hope we can get together in the near future. Take care man!

Dave, yer hospitality was second to none. Tracy got some great pics. Thanks again!
Bill,
I feel a little dirty, betrayed even, that I was unawares I was spending the day with a Springsteen hating communist!
Mike
PS I actually never liked Springsteen's music either. ha ha
