Hello Everyone,
I work part-time as a fly fishing guide on the Green River, about a 30 minutes drive from Vernal. The company I guide for is Flaming Gorge Resort. Flaming Gorge Resort has agreed to give a $15 discount per night for anyone mentioning the Vernal NAFA meet when booking your room. The accommodations are in the heart of wild game such as cottontails, jacks, sage grouse, chukar and even some valley quail. All are within a few minutes’ drive of where you would be hawking. If you wanted to book a fly fishing trip, they will accommodate a half day trip in the middle of the day so you will still have your early morning and even to go hawking. It’s a nice place to stay, hawkable areas right outside your door, and best of all, it is a short trip back to your room after the NAFA meet festivities! Please see the URL below for additional information on the resort and other accommodations. If anyone would like to book me as your guide any other time throughout the year, please request a trip with Ryan Miller. I would be more than happy to show you peregrine and goshawk nest along the float trip down the river, however, other guides would be more than happy to take you on a GREAT fishing trip of a lifetime!

Its been a few years {30} since I fished Flaming Gorge. We camped out on Kingfisher Island and it snowed like hell on us. Loved every minute of it and the fishing was absolutely great.

If anyone would still like to attend the NAFA meet, but did reserve a room, Flaming Gorge Resort still have some rooms available. They have the Motel rooms for $75 per night and the suites for $105. The suites have a full kitchen; fridge, oven, microwave etc. They should be able to accommodate a large group for one low price. In order to get the deal, you will need to mention the NAFA meet. They can be reached at http://www.flaminggorgeresort.com/ordereze/1000/Page.aspx (http://www.flaminggorgeresort.com/ordereze/1000/Page.aspx)

Just passing the information along.
