His buddy was not so smart!

Chris:
Great photo's. I could not help but notice the transmitter on your RT. How is it mounted. It looks like it is hanging by a string or am I wrong?

The "string" you see is actually a zip tie on the bell. The bell broke off and that was a field fix. the transmitter is attached with leather.

I love this photo sequence! Very hard to get some great shots of a bird in chase but you got it licked. Great job!! clapp

Ya see........it's stuff like this that makes me wish I payed attention in those photography classes in college, instead of chasing the "photographers"......:D

gotta know what camera this was shot with.......... feel free to PM me if this is a trade secret, I will blindfold myself and let my wife read it. i have tons of good pics of my K-9's in action. However they were mostly shot by my friends who are great pitur clickers.

No secret, Canon 7D with a 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM lens. This is a great combo. The camera shoots 8 fps and the lens is amazing! The hardest part is being in the right place at the right time. This is a good sequence, but one pic a branch is in the way, and the last one the bird is not in the frame as much as I would have liked. And lighting is always tough, especially in the woods.

Takes a lot of practice!

Thank you
Chris
