Increased Spam

Hello all,

There has been an increase in spam on NAFEX. I wanted to update the members to let you guys know I have added a new anti-spam software to the forum and I am hoping this will decrease the amount.

Thank you all for reporting it to the Mods and I. I know it is frustrating for everyone.

Please let me know if you are seeing a decrease or if you see that the software is giving any member or new members trouble

spam are from those who come on here to advertise porn or pills that increase your libido or anything of that nature. Anything that takes you from NAFEX that is not falconry related is spam.

The only way to rid of it is to kick left and right ;)

Also, for those of you that are not aware, you can report a post to the mods by clicking on the red and white triangle with the exclamation point in it that is located on the upper right corner of every post.


So, if someone is dropping f-bombs left and right, let us know and we can send them a reminder and edit the posts.. If a spammer is trying to sell you little blue pills, or an iPhone, report it and we will give them the boot.

If you think our "enemies" don't follow these boards you better think again. Please watch for the spammers. If you see something that just doesn't look right, please report the post(s) and let the mod team know.

Just found a second IP with the same thing. That is over 100 "members". Damn!

Can you tell us where it is? In the us, out of the us? Spam or monitoring?

One in California, one in Europe. I can only assume that one is spammer and one is monitoring. But then again, it is only an assumption.

Regarding IP. If it is a Proxy IP then it can be changed and does not tell exactly where the person is. I will see if I can add a Proxy resolver to the forums to help decrease this. Proxy Ip are fake IPs


I would like to give the new software a chance to work. Keep me posted.

What if we only drop the F bombs on the right or left not both? I can understand the confusion with them falling on both sides but as long as we pick one and stick with it are we alright?:D

Hope the mods see this but seeing a huge increase in SPAM on this forum. Seems like every time I login (which I admit isn't often) there are several new spam posts and spam replies to real posts.

It’s about the same as always. Most of the time we get it before it’s seen, sometimes the timing is such we don’t. Ebb and flow.
