I'm on a roll with some painting I have been doing - now looking for some good pictures of an adult gos as a subject for painting. Likely on game, in a tree works too, possibly in flight (depends on how it looks).
looking forward to your photos!

This is one I would be interested in purchasing. Wish I had some good pics for you. Hopefully I'll have some good ones by December :)

I am new to falconry, this is my second season. And I am new to the list, as this is my first post. I am an avid photographer and was out with my friend and his gos orginally chasing rabbits earlier this week. She saw this squirrel and the chase was on! (not a very long one though :) ) This is probably one of my best action shots.
Thanks for looking

I saw this one and I thought about it - I would have to ask the photographer as it is obvious he sells his stuff and it is a very distinctive shot.
Its a fantastic photo - not sure how it would work as a painting (at least from me)
Working on another peregrine from the 2010/11 longwing pictures thread posted by steve swartze until I can find the sort of gos I'm looking for. The sort of mood I'm in now and the amount of time I have I'm hoping to get it finished relatively quickly.
I even spent some time on "that other forum" looking for pics - but all they have is euro birds (not that I would snub that) and usually brown ones.

Couple more of the brown bird. Emily, the resolution on the picture is 240. The picture is very heavily cropped.

That picture reminds me of a passage gos coming in on a pigeon when you’re ridge trapping. Right past your blind, off the deck at a 100 mph.
That is a very cool shot.

Dan, this female was on her way to smack a pigeon in this flight.

Emily I emailed you some pictures today. The first few the link will not work so I tried a different way to send them. The last ones seem to work OK.

Thanks fella's...a couple of notes about the bird and the pics...The bird was a Gos that my old man flew back in the '90's(he got into falconry by default when i did. i was too young to drive and needed someone to take me trapping and hunting. 27 years later, he at age 62 he's still at it. anyway..) She was an excellent bird that he had the joy flying for about 8 years. She ended up dying of asper. A buddy of ours named Middelton Evans is a book publisher, author and photographer. He was doing a book about Maryland wildlife and wanted to get some pics of the Gos. These are the pics he took. So, credit to him. I have the 2nd pic(the one under the 1st one) framed and it's what you see when you walk up the steps in my house. One year for my Dad's B-day or fathers day, i had Jeff721 from this board(aka Jeff Frederick) put the pic that you like Fredd on canvas. Man he nailed it and my old man LOVED IT! Anyway, he's(the old man) still flyn a Gos and he has his old stand-by FRT Daisy-May Clawmonster(my step-sister is 7 and she named the RT) anyway, thats a little run down of the pics and the bird. Oh, she(the Gos) made the book too. I know there's a fancy name for it, but her pic is like two pages into the book and takes up 2 entire pages!

Thanks. She's coming well into her 3rd-year full adult plumage right now. Looking a lot like Changra, Bill. Was she a local bird?
