Come and join us Saturday, August 27th for the Georgia Falconry Association's 2011 Annual Picnic and Trapping Seminar. The event will be hosted by Gregg Hake at his property in Dahlonega, Georgia. The days' activities will begin promptly at 10am.

Agenda as follows:

10am-11am:
"Falconry Workshop" with John Rudy on trapping essentials, Larry Mullis on construction of his "circle" trap, Joey Seabolt on trapping solo and Thom Bardugon on hunting RTs in a cast.

11am-noon:
"Raptor Injuries and Illnesses" with Kathryn Dudek and Lara Bardugon

Noon until ...
Lunch & fellowship

Lunch will be provided by Johnny's Barbecue of Gainesville...the real deal.

There are plenty of chairs for the indoor workshops, but you might want to bring a chair in case you want to sit down outside for the picnic. There is a pond that is "chock full of fish" and anyone who wishes to bring fishing tackle can take home whatever they catch.

There will be a weathering yard available. If you wish to bring your bird, please bring a water bowl and a perch that can be firmly secured in the ground. For the safety of all birds, be sure that you are using slitted jesses, swivels and leashes without a metal clasp.

R.S.V.P. (http://gfa2011picnic.eventbrite.com) by August 20 to ensure that we can order enough food for everyone!
