I had found a RT on the side of the road , Last weekend that had it's left kill talon stuck up under it's wing in it's brest. (don't have a clue how it got there) but it let me pick it up and my wife worked it lose and we let him go!! and I got to looking them up online and found the MHC website!!! and the rest is a weeks worth of late nights reading and watch video's on youtube..then I find you guy's I had know idea you could hunt with them!!! or even have one !!!I am hooked!!! I have bronze turkey's but this is so much more interesting!! so I am glad you have all this info on this forum, I hope to some day be a falconer... I wish I could have made Hawk fest this weekend :( that way I could have got a lot more info!!!

Wellcome to an obsession. The MHC will have one more event that some falconers will be at and that is Cranefest. Check out the MHC website for a date. Other than that, the field meet in Jan or Feb, not sure which will be a great place to go out with a variety of birds, and a lot of falconers show up.

Welcome Dave. Some nice redtails around Coldwater. Spent time there helping a reindeer farmer for quite a few years.

Yes Tom there are a lot of red tails around !!! I feed them and the owl's all summer long !!!!!! they love my chickens,turkey's, and giuneas lol I lose between 8 and 10 birds a year !:D
