Recently we had a small get together with a few friends in Arco Idaho looking for sage grouse. Here are a couple of pics from the trip.

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z51/idbirdman/2012-01-07_10-56-23_708.jpg Grouse poop every where.

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z51/idbirdman/2012-01-07_11-46-40_730.jpg This is my oldest son Taron. He is such a good kid. He walked to the top of this butte with me just to be with me.

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z51/idbirdman/2012-01-07_11-49-46_533.jpg Our good friend Gary Moon was kind enough to pick us up from the top of the hill after retrieving my bird. Unfortunately I wasn't going to fit in the kennel so Taron had to ride there and I carried the birds.

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z51/idbirdman/January_2011_028.jpg One more picture of the Rock. He held this point on a single grouse for close to minutes while we waited for the dang bird to come back. Oh well soon there will be more opportunities.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful country Stephen. It has been 2 years since my trip to sage grouse country. It is another world. Not everyone will appreciate the poop picture, but I collected dried droppings and burned them like incense when I got home, gave the house a sage smell. Thanks for sharing.
