Pretty neat. How do the backpack shots of her grabbing game come out?

This was the first day with it on, the camera cut off before she got the squirrel so i do not have any footage of a catch (YET) the camera does not seem to bother her or affect her flight to much. I will post more video as I work the kinks out.

That's fantastic - what camera are you using and where can I get one?

Awesome stuff bro. Can't wait to see more. Like the above poster, would love to hear about your equipment and read about the problems you have to overcome to do this. Thanks so much for sharing!

Ok the first thing you will need is an Eagle Back Pack from Marshall then the camera you can pick up on line. I will place the link below. The fit is the hardest thing to get right not to mention the height. you will just have to make something that works. once i figure it out I will post a photo of the set up.

I don't think it would be a good idea in a hunting situation, but just for 'cool video's sake, I wonder if you would get a more stable picture with the camera on one of her legs, initially facing up as she is standing. When she was flying, and she tucked her legs up, it should be facing forward and perhaps not as susceptible to the shaking from her wing beats.

Otherwise, we just need to wait for someone to manufacture a 1 oz steady cam! :D

Nice work Rob. I got a camera and I made a backpack for my peregrine but I havnt had the nerve to mount it on him. Even though my camera only weighs 15g I'm not comfortable with him having the extra weight and change in aerodynamics while stooping at such high speeds and coming so close to the ground.

Hey Stuart, it is the 808 key fob camera. The video is not the greatest but it only cost about 15 bucks. Just do a search for them on ebay. There are also a lot of videos on YouTube as well.
