My name is Roma Altimus i am from Altoona pennsylvania i just Recently found out that Falconry is legal in my state .. i went to the East Coast out Doors show in harrisburgh PA and seen " Raptors Up close ' and sparked my interest ( As if it wasn't already sparked ) me and my father are looking to be falconers .. we are looking for somebody in the Area to " Tag along " with .. and eventually become our " Sponsors " .. if you are in the Area or Know somebody in the Area please contact me Via NAFEX .. I'd suggest going to the PA Falcon and Hawk Trust website (pfht.org). There's info about the PA club and points of contact for your area.

Thank you so very much for your Suggestion, i have been to that webiste and have sent Email's to the Apprentice Coordinator, and have yet to hear anything back.. waiting to hear something back :)

Please call the campground before July 4 for overnight reservations. Mention "falconry" for a discount. The more we have staying the better discount we will get. Also, if more than ten people stay with them the picnic site fee will be waived. Tent sites, RV sites with varying facilities, and cabins of several sizes are available.

Welcome! Persistence is definitely a necessity when it comes to finding people to go out in the field with, as well as finding your eventual sponsor. I know here in NY they send out a list of general and master falconers with phone numbers. Keep working at it, it'll pay off! rtsqrl
