Animal Control has recovered what they claim is a Red Tailed Hawk near the corners of Newport Rd and Menifee Rd in Menifee, CA. Although I haven't seen the bird, I was told it is wearing anklets and jesses in addition to a silver band numbered: RW095454.
The rehab facility that contacted me *may* have already received the bird from Animal Control but they stated it would be difficult for them to do so until tomorrow (Saturday, October 27th).
