I opened it okay here at work. For those that can not open it, it is a few pictures of a peregrine falcon wearing worn leather anklets, minus jesses. Nothing to truely identify or stand out.

I would add that it is an adult female peregrine, seen in the same general area for the months of September and October, with the last photos dated mid-October. I'm curious if any of the Salt Lake falconers have/had seen her. Personally, if that was my peregrine, I would recognize her from the photos, assuming I had seen her in adult plumage.

I can't see a band in those photos.

This was put out to the UFA membership some months ago, along with a Prairie Falcon spotted with jesses (I tried to trap her, but she wouldn't have it) but we haven't had any takers as of yet. Lots of Peregrines migrate past the Great Salt Lake each year...always wondered if it could have been a local bird or a bird from up north?

The Prairie was been spotted in extreme northern Utah, so it very easily could have come from the north country.

Either way, the UFA has put their feelers out with no takers.

I'm glad you posted it here, as it never hurts to get the information out to as many as possible, especially since the Great Salt Lake is an epicenter for several of our western states' migrating birds.
