Still one of my favorite critters to pursue.

Thought I would share a pic of my female RT and her 40th catch of season.

Thanks for looking

Chris

How many years have you had her Chris? She's a great looking bird.

Squirrels are my plan. I'd probably freak if I caught 40 in a season, however. Only so much squirrel and dumplin's one can make and eat before you want a steak...and the husband catches plenty of squirrels with guns.

Thanks for the complements everyone!

She is a 3x intermewed passage. Her weight that morning was 1292g.

Sorry, not to mislead, this was her 40th catch of the season. About half were squirrels so far this year. I found a good spot with bunnies so I have been hitting them more than normal. Couple weeks ago she did her first triple on bunnies.

I posted this pic to say out of all her game, nothing beats a squirrel hunt! In past years she has also caught a couple muskrats, a pheasant and a drake mallard. I love the versatility of a RT.

My wife makes a mean squirrel soup and dumplings!

Thanks again.

I'm sure it was my own newbie error, so it's my fault for not reading better.

Heck of a bird regardless of what the catches were.

No worries, after i read it I realize I made it sound like she was a squirrel machine. This year I have been chasing bunnies as I found a new spot to fly and they have been very abundant. that is until the gunners showed up :(

I went chasing squirrels yesterday and forgot how exciting those slips can be

She has a great look in her eye...nice picture.

Thank you. She is a ham :)
