Jim Copp calling in...from the bottom of California. This has been a nagging urge for more than 40 years.The last few years have been spent racing throughout the U.S. Now with kids in college, I can't be spending THAT kind of money. If you think falconry is expensive, try checkbook racingfirsts
I'm born and raised Sothern California and I've hunted my whole life. (A Mysterious Creature for sure around these parts). Mostly archery or shotgunning with bird dogs. Like archery, it's not about getting a limit but the QUALITY of the hunt! Just like with bird dogs, its about the time spent with the animal(partner). I'm looking for the same thrill again (as well as the training aspect). I have my books on order; lurked around here...devoured The Apprentice Falconer, etc. I've sussed my vet and will be building my GH this weekend...BC in a couple weeks. Looking forward to learning all I can from this site...FWIW...seems the top minds are here! Best, Jim.
