View Full Version : Hello from the SF Bay Area!

Hello all! I'm a brand new 26 year old pre-apprentice located in the SF Bay Area. I've joined the California Hawking Club and have my study guide and apprentice manual on the way. I've been interested in falconry for some time now and I'm anxious to start diving deeper into the sport to find as much as I possibly can. I definitely have some of the usual logistic type stuff to figure out (places to fly a hawk, places to hunt, what other hobbies/activities I need to cut out to make time for falconry, etc) but I'm super excited to get started figuring all this stuff out.

There's no such thing as the perfect time and there is never any time like the present so I've decided to just go for it. I'm excited to be here and I'm looking forward to being a part of this awesome community!

Hello A.J...This ie Harry from just up the road in Pleasanton.

I too am a pre-apprentice, though a bit older than you ;)

Maybe we can meet and discuss test prep, general FAQ's, etc.

I also have some hunting property in the Sierra Foothills that I am hoping would be productive for Hawking.

Text me if you'd like to meet over burgers or beers ...

Very cool and nice to meet you Harry! I can pm you and maybe we can figure out a time to meet up to talk about falconry. I'm definitely up for meeting as many falconers as possible.
