Nice Jim! What is the purpose of the pipes on the outside? Also, I was told that pvc pipes would give too much and a bird could possibly squeeze through, but it appears you haven't had any problems. Do you worry about them freezing and possibly breaking or the sun causing them to weaken?

In addition to Fred's question, and maybe this is a little early to ask if you just finish the mews, but does the decaying leaves concerns you having the Gos in there or is it not a problem with mold/asper as long as the Gos is stress free.

Nice mews, plenty of space and great looking birds!

The pipes on the outside is what keeps the mosiquito netting away from the PVC bars. Same as the plastic expanded roof over the 4x4's. We ahve been doing this for over 20 years with no issues. The spacing is @ 1.5" between bars and the pipe has clamps every 2-2.5 ft.....jm

;) The oak trees have finally dropped their leaves and they will be cleaned up tommorrow along with adding fresh pine needles at a minimum of 18" deep....this is great stuff as it seems to prevent any mold............rockon......jm
