Transmitter Comparisons

Just wondering if anyone has a comparison between a Merlin System MX392 Transmitter and an LF3 2G from L&L. Have used the LF3 for over 20 yrs and it has suited me well in the past. Am considering the MX unit which has the capability of antenna at 8 1/2 inches according to their website. I use the standard 2/16 frequency. Both units use a pair of 392 batteries and seem to be roughly the same size and weight. Any thoughts are appreciated.
