I am located in the Southeast area and am currently raising Pharaoh quail for feeding purposes. If any one is interested I am located in Florida and will give a good price and deliver for reasonable price. All my birds are wire raised never been on the ground. Please email me if any one is interested to Chancey62@bellsouth.net or you can call me at 352-949-7337 or 352-221-2967. Thanks,
Debra

Hi Debra! Thank you for sharing this information with us. I purchase my quail in the spring - prior to the molt commencing - as that's the only time I feed much of it to my Red tail.

What are your prices and how much is shipping? Do you ship frozen? These are things folks will want to know.

No problem Deb! I am always looking for a better option. I buy 300 eggs for about $90 and hatch them out myself. I usually end up with a little over 200 birds. But the trouble of hatching them, brooding them, raising them, culling them, packaging them to freeze is not worth it if I can purchase fully grown frozen quail for not much more than it cost for me to raise them. And I feed quail year round, don't stop feeding quail just because you have squirrel and rabbit to feed. Your bird needs a good all around diet and quail should be part of every falconry birds diet, in my humble opinion.

Not to derail this thread, but how often should quail be fed?
