Just heard from a friend that there was "a RTH, wearing jesses, found in the Wichita, KS area. It was killing a farmer's chickens."

I've asked for more information, but that's all I have for now. If you have lost a bird in that area, PM me and I'll get you in touch with someone who should have more information.

Here's a photo of the bird. Have asked if it is in hand somewhere, or still flying free. Color of jesses/anklets, haggard/passage, etc. When/If more information is received, will post.

I don't think my rt I lost on 12/02/15 would have made it that far and its the wrong direction from me for a migrant rt. But just in case, he is wearing red ostrich hide anklets and roo hide anklets (brown). No bells. He also has a transmitter 216.025

That was supposed to say roo hide jesses. A red tail might go that far in three days. But would a red tail make it that far heading northwest this time of year?

Don't know. Lived in Kansas for years - LOTS of wind. Would be very easy for a bird to catch the currents and travel a LONG ways with no effort. Might be worth a call to check it out.

Will do Christopher. AOL is not opening for mail right now for me, but as soon as I can get in, it will be on the way to you. I have it in a saved email on AOL, can't get to it until I can access the AOL site.
