I discovered this forum from a link somewhere or other. Can't really remember where, I had my nose in a glass of very good red at the time. Anyway I digress, I've been a falconer since my early teens and have settled on persuit falcons for the time being. I've joined this forum in the hope of learing as much as I can from American falconers as I believe you guys are willing to try new ideas much more readily than the average British falconer is. Anyway , hi there and happy hawking!

Here's a link to this years eyas playing with my sons toys. She was supposed to be a tiercel but as she's 37 oz already I think it's safe to say he's a she. :)

Hi Zoe,

Welcome to NAFEX!

Though this forum is the "North American Falconers Exchange", there are many members from the UK (and elsewhere!) here and it makes the forum all the better with the diverse experiences we all can share.

I learn something here every day and enjoy myself. Please let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

Glad to see you here. Please keep posting updates on your falcon, sounds like a big'un!

Best Regards,

Zoe Jones

Hey Zoe, welcome to NAFEX! Since you are now into pursuit falcons and like the new ideas of American Falconers, there is a great thread on here of a guy (Noah) that is flying his falcon on rabbits in the state of New Mexico. He started out slow but ended his season killing multple rabbits and really did a great job. It is a really great read and a great insight into what can be done if someone really trys something different. I will try and find a link to the thread, but if you just do a search you should be able to find it. Again, welcome and enjoy!

Found the link, here it is : http://www.nafex.net/showthread.php?t=484&highlight=NOah

Here are some up to date pics of the eyas being harassed by my almost two year old son. She's toped out at 40 1/2 ounces so she's just about average for a brit peregrine so I'm more than pleased.
