It's that time again!
REDTAIL RUMBLE 2008 mini-meet
October 17th, 18th, and 19th.
JoeKurz WMA - Meriwhether county, GA.
PLEASE NOTE......... The WMA is NOT open for small game on Friday the 17th. We'll use Friday as the arrival day, and to get camp set up, but you can not legally hunt your bird on the WMA that day.
Directions: From Woodbury: Take Hwy 85 north for 7.5 miles to Gay; turn right
at red light; check station is 2.7 miles on left. Campground is just past check
station on left.

This is a camping meet, so bring appropriate supplies for the weekend. The WMA has a very nice open campground with plenty of room for everyone. If you have some extra firewood laying around, bring some with you. For those that arrive early, please take a little time to help gather some firewood for the weekend. This will be the 6th minimeet I've hosted at Joe Kurz and it's always a good one. You don't want to miss it.
Squirrels will be the main quarry, and there has always been PLENTY for
everyone. There are some rabbits as well, but you'll have to get in
the thick stuff to find them.
If you have dogs as part of your hunting team, please feel free to bring
them. However, please keep in mind that not all birds will tolerate dogs while
hunting. Please be sure and bring a leash or a crate to contain your dogs while
other birds are flying.
Keep in mind that this is a state WMA and you're required to have a WMA stamp,
as well as a small game license.
This mini-meet is not associated with any falconry club.
All falconers are invited.
Mark your calenders. Tell your friends and your enemies.
