I havent shared any pics in a while, and I was uploading some stuff into my photobucket tonight and figured I might as well post them!
Here goes, theres a bunch of them!

First off are some pics from a recent OFA meet in Texhoma. We had a really good time, and the OK panhandle never seems to disappoint! Theres a little bit of everything up there.

My apprentice Walt with his PFRT after a succesful bunny flight, she had just missed slips on quail, pheasant and a jack within five minutes of this catch!

My PMRT shortly after capture, sporting one of Ken Hooke's hoods;) He still acts the same way in the hood:D I have to watch my fingers around him!

And some from todays hawking/training (my bird was on the creance for the first time today!) and we were trying a field we hadnt hawked yet this year. Its still fairly warm here, and theres still quite a bit of foliage but we are making do with what we have!

We had a nice chase on a squirrel that got away and she tagged the second rabbit that got up, #5 for her and Walt.

And finally, some of my Gerbils! And Scooter wishing he could eat them :) These have proven to be great hawk bait;)

Thanks guys, Im on my way out now to work with the new male RT. He's a little bugger, but I sure am getting attached to him!

Those were some really good times in those pics.......theres a lot of people who arent in frame, and a lot of stuff that happened in between pics too!

I was making a right turn to a field when I got stuck. A semi was coming from the right as I was turning and he was about to turn right on the road I was on....needless to say he was swinging wide and I had to move over. I was axle deep in the nastiest clay-like mud I'd ever seen in seconds! Theres a video of the whole ordeal on youtube somewhere. After lots of mud slinging, a farmer came along to pull me out, and I graciously rearended him with my back bumber as a way of saying thanksfrus My tailgate will never be the same:D

A couple more for your enjoyment!

thanks chris! that crow had 1 pecan too many! it had left the ground prior to the hawk taking off but decided to go about 50 yards and land. the harris never slowed. the crow must not have realized that some serious heat was bearing down on it.

Those are some great in flight pics of the Harris. Well done. They show the versatile nature of the Harris well.

danny lloyd took most of those. he's a professional photog with BIG lenses and "high numbered Nikons". that pic of the harris stooping upside down.... that crow continued to the left and the harris hit about a foot behind him in a big cloud of dust. one of his most effective flight styles is to leave the truck and climb about 50 ft or so and wait to see if any stay on the ground...and when he's over them, it's a vertical stoop downwards. i think the crows realize that the HH has crossed that imaginary line in which he can get to them and their best bet is to stay put and try to dodge the strike. it works about 50% of the time. either the crows side step him or get smashed into the ground. either way, it's a sight to behold
