Here is one last picture from the meet. Belle found this stuffed rabbit in a field Saturday before the meet. She gave it to another falconer who in turn gave it to the weathering yard wardens. This bunny sat in the weathering yard all week and some how ended up zip tied to my grill guard! It is still attached to my truck!:lol:

Great pics everyone! It was was good to finally meet you all, Brandi, Jimmy, Fred, Heather, and on and on. It was a fun meet, lots of good folks and plenty of game. Fred you only found one bunnie? Did you leave hotel? There was quail in the hotel parking lot!!!!

Yeah, went out everyday, went to several places folks told us to go. Found one place that we were able to jump about 12 rabbits in a couple hours, but there was high sage brush and it was tough to get clean shots at them. The cast of Harris caught one rabbit in there but chased all 12. We did see some quail in there on the last day, but we were with Jimmy when he was flying a red-tail and the gos had just been fed up on the rabbit he caught. I think the quail in the weathering yard was an escapee! LOL They chased that thing around and it finally flew up and landed on a 2nd or 3rd floor balcony. Asked several folks that had said they hit honey holes if we could go out with them, including yourself, and never got an answer. Very frustrating to drive that far and not get to chase rabbits all day. And to top it off by starting the week witout trapping my prairie, well, what can I say. But we had a blast chasing the jacks with the cast of Harris and I had a great time. And I was able to get the gos a slip and he sucked that rabbit up in a flash.

not only was there a quail in the yard, there was also a pheasant and a rabbit! The rabbit ran the course and just escaped three different birds catching it. the pheasant actually flew over the longwing section of the yard. best pheasant flight i ever saw. 35 falcons involved and all missed!

Last I checked there was a nice large "hospitality" tent AND the weathering yard is not open at night. But what do i know I'm just the lowly rafflemeister.
