Great flight shots of RT soaring...working the wind. There was a bunny crawling under the honeysuckle along the RR tracks under the snow for over 5 minutes and we finally busted the bunny out for a fabulous catch. Jess the RT has been intermewed since 2001....... [smilie=icon_thumright.gif] ..........jm

Those are moves I'd expect to see from a Ferrug, hats of to you for getting a Redtail to that kind of standard [smilie=icon_pray.gif] [smilie=icon_pray.gif]

Those are great photos, thanks for posting them. You make me want to go out and spend money on a better camera.

I love to watch a RT hunt from a soar. I used to toss a lot of barn pigeons for my RT when the thermals were good. Her stoops became pretty impressive and she even caught a few of the pigeons. She caught a couple of pheasants in the air by stooping out of thermals. It was fun to flush rabbits when she was up almost out of sight. She would come down like a bomb but the rabbits always had time to get into the rocks before she made it all the way down and she would pitch up like a falcon and go right back up. One of the things I want to try now that I'm retired is to take her down to Oregon and see if I can get her to catch jackrabbits from a high pitch. I've had that bird since 1989.
