Hello from Calgary, Alberta

Greetings, my name is Grahame Booth and I live in Calgary, Alberta.

I am a master bander (ringer) so have handled hundreds of Great Horned Owls, Red-tailed Hawks, Swainson's Hawks and Ferruginous Hawks over my 13 years of banding (ringing).

I am currently construcing my weathering cage and modifying my mews for a Red-tailed Hawk this fall. I have been out hunting with several falconers in the Calgary area over the past 2 years and am looking forward to my first bird.

Grahame: I was a B Bander for over 20 years. I dropped my permit a few years ago. Lots of fun. You lost a real nice falconer a few years ago, his name was John Cambell, he was a rancher. A real nice guy. He also breed raptors. In Mi. we do our banding [ring] in the spring. They are working on getting rid of the back yard bander in the U.S.
