What is the best song to put a falconry video to? Ideas or suggestions. I'm toying with making a short video from some misc footage I have. Most of it is Turdo Dog (female coop) in action. I'm in the earliest of stages right now. The video first has to be put into digital format so don't get all excited expecting something tomorrow.

My thoughts were

Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Blow Me Away - Breaking Benjamin
Burn it to the Ground - Nickleback

Let the bodies hit the floor is a good one but it has already been done on more than one falconry video. I like welcome to the jungle.

How about "why can't we be friends?" or "the merry go 'round broke down" or the theme song from "Sanford and son"? toungeout

I've always thought a video done to Queen's "Another one bites the dust" would be great with the 'dun dun dun' before 'another one bites the dust' being snap shots of birds scooping up whatever prey item followed by a longer chase in the chorus...

Too obvious?

It depends on your audience dont ya think?
Ian Tyson is a country singer from Canada that has a song called my "My Sky"
he wrote it and sings it.. When I saw him in concert in Utah last year he stated it was about a redtail hawk, ya i know its not a coops ,but at least it isnt that head banging sh## Krys likes to listen tooo.....!!!!!:D

And to finish... all country isnt about cryin in your beer and cheatin and trains and trucks , and missing your girl , your horse, sleepin in the ditch cold and drunk and being in jail,
some of it is about mountains, clear blue mountain streams, rodeos, warm soft women , horses and cows, out on the prairrie..... safe a horse ride a cowboy!!!toungeout

I really don't know about anybody else but I'll turn off a promising video that has the typical pseudo-hardcore soundtrack. I think it's really stupid. Pick something you like, don't try to be a "bad ass" just because everybody else does it...

Not all of what I listen to is headbanging sh*t! As a matter of fact the last concert I went to was a country music concert...Gary Allan (Herzburg) to be exact. I just don't think country music fits a non stop action bird slaying video that I plan to produce. And yes I'm familiar with Big and Rich. Cowboy Troy is from this area thank you.

I'm a thourough-bred
That's what she said
In the back of my truck bed
As I was gettin' buzzed on suds
Out on some back country road.
We where flying high
Fine as wine, having ourselves a big and rich time
And I was going, just about as far as she'd let me go.
But her evaluation
Of my cowboy reputation
Had me begging for salvation
All night long
So I took her out giggin frogs
Introduced her to my old bird dog
And sang her every Wilie Nelson song I could think of
And we made love

Taking a slight change in direction, has anyone ever listened to the words of Bluebird, by Buffalo Springfield? And I think it is very suitable song for a falconry video. Oscar

Krys I stand corrected.. I am in the circle of reverence .. you might want to let Heather know you saw Gary Allen, wait I think I can hear her heart beating.. note her quote from her signature..

I just am not a hard rock guy or what ever you call that stuff..
And cowboy troy aint no cowboy .. its just a shtick cowboy rapper.
I dont see anything real positive with that type of music.
cowboy cowboy cowboy can you say cowboy fast 3 times.... can you type cowboy fast 3 times..cboy cboy cboy

I dont know why you ( in general terms, not anyone specific) thinks that it always has to be a rush or some type of adrenilin rush to have birds of prey killing stuff.. and has to have some type of hyper action noise chiming in with the act..

Kind of like wolves killing deer, we really dont want to face the fact that in most instances the wolves follow the deer and then ham string the back legs in turn so it eventually cant run,, then they start eating the deer from the ass end forward while it is still alive.
I guess it is all how you look at it.

Bacon i think you said it best and are right on the nuts.
You might try putting up a couple of versions of the vidio.. one that appeals to say a younger crowd. iron maiden etc...
And one of a more sophisticated nature ( can you see my nose turned up:D) that in effect might be appealing to a different crowd..

I also think it depends on what you are focusing on in the vidio that might depict more of what type of music you are playing if it more like a Disney movie or more on the kill shots... just make sure you dont play the same repeating sound over and over and over that is no different than a imprint screaming in your ear insestantly that gets old real quick...

You could be artsy, sophisticated, & psychotic by using the soundtrack from Kubrick's Clockwork Orange.

I just may name my next Coops - Kubrick =)
