Most of our birds will do it in the mew, but this is the first time one of them has flopped down beside the others in the yard.

That is cool. Artie will do it in the chain link area with the dogs walking around and sniffing and pay them no mind. Sometimes I think Artie can’t figure out if she’s a bird or dog. She gets down on the ground and runs back and forth with the dog with only fence between. Sometimes the dog starts the game but I’ve seen Artie hop down and let out a little squawk calling the dog over to start the show.

Wild birds do this all the time except they are in flight normally. We call it soaring.

Hmmm, when my red-tails did that, I always called it bating and landing on their face! LOL toungeout:D
