What age do you think is the oldest you could safely pull/buy an eyass falcon and it be a sexual imprint?

First off what do you want an imprinted pure species falcon for? Secondly it varies greatlly from species to species. Prairies don't seem to be a problem with the occasional passager even breeding. Peales and gyrs get confused very easily.

You could pull a pure bred if you wanted to make a hybrid or if you had an imprinted tiercel already.

So you think if you were going with a prairie that you could get away with pulling one up to what age if you intent was to artificially inseminate her eventually?

Once you can sex them should be good enough for a prairie.

Thanks Brad. BTW, why do you think the prairie imprints sexually more easily? I have heard of passage birds standing for AI, but it is odd out of such a notoriously temperamental species.
