does anyone here know anything about digiscoping I just bought a barska black hawk spotting scope and wanted to know if I can use it for didgiscoping I also have a nikon coolpix p5100 that I would like to use with it if I can.

I believe that is when you use a spotting scope as a zoom on a camera. I wanted to use mine like that but never got around to it. You know how them roundtoits can be.

there are some spotting scopes you can put a adapter on and use a small point and shoot to take photos with the come out really good to.

Nope thats the coloniscope, the digiscope is when they just say drop 'em and bend over.

I remember reading a website that told how to hook up a small digital camera to a spotting scope using cardboard and the pictures were awesome, I will look for the link.

I would love to buy a good spotting scope for this purpose, but all the ones I see are way out of my price range. Does anyone know a good one that isn't so pricey?
