Haven't been on NAFEX for awhile, kinda miss it hear. I've recently relocated to Nederland CO and I'm looking for a few local falconers to link up with here, and potentially a future mentor that may be interested in helping me with my second apprentice season. I'm looking towards a Kestrel, but we'll see what time will tell. I'd be scared of setting up a mews out here unless it was set on poured concrete as the foxes are thick in my front and back yard. :) I put in one year in South Dakota under my mentor there who goes by wingnut on the boards here. Doug was a great guy and I would have loved to finish my apprenticeship and had him there for assistance but the time to move states approached earlier than planned. Anywho anyone out here in the Mountains wanna make themselves known? Would be happy to meet up with some of you sometime and am looking into the CHC as well. I need to get in touch with dirthawker about that though I think. Anywho look forward to talkin to you all!

Eric

Hi Eric,
I live pretty close to you, I"m just south of Boulder. I've flown 4 kestrels thus far... if you need help with trapping in the fall, give me a ring, I've become quite good at trapping the little guys. ;)

Good luck!

Thanks Jenni! I appreciate the offer and will probably end up taking you up on your offer. Are you master class and/or looking for an apprentice? I would really like to find someone close by that has kestrel experience as I've flown a red-tail but never something as small. I've been in touch with Mario now and I believe he is actively searching for a sponsor around Ned/Boulder area. You should PM me your contact info if you wish and I'll save it so that I can get in touch with you when the time comes, until then I hope to keep in touch with you through here as well! Thanks again for the response!
