Interesting......
How many falconers lose their hawks/falcons to wild birds and you don't see us out there killing them off!! Seems like almost everytime I take out my big PFRT she draws out the wild locals for a "You want a piece of me" session! Can't say I haven't thought of doing it, though. One time she got knocked out cold and I literally wanted to strangle that wild bird!! Thought I'd never hunt that spot again, but the next week we were back for more! I never was one to back down from a challenge....

Absolutely - this is old news.

One thing I would like to point out, as I pointed out then, is to be careful believing the "facts."

This was an investigation that was modeled -exactly - on operation falcon. Maybe all the pigeon guys they busted were actually guilty of what they were charged with, and maybe the USFWS invented criminals largely out of thin air.

There are certainly plenty of pigeon guys with no shortage of hatred for hawks.

Rescue mission, anyone?

I figure a solid pigeon trap placed in the main reading room (where he's stuck) should work well... And I'd definitely like some help if you're around the DC - Maryland - Virginia area. There's news stations still covering the story, but for the most part it should be quiet (it IS a library). PM me if you wanna trap a pretty cooper's hawk tonight or in the next few days, before Fish and Wildlife gets its greasy hands on it. Just sayin.
