This eagle has done pretty well since I trapped him. If anyone is interested, I have a short video of him catching a jack. This is also the eagle that came down with Asper and was sucessfully treated to a full recovery thanks to Dr. Scott Weldy {Southern California} and Dr. Vickie Joseph P{northern California}. If you look close you can see the 2 transmitters on his tail.

Thanks Noah.

Goldens can manuver better than I thought. Hard to imagine with a big bird - seems like their wings would get in the way.

Good job Jim and you can post all the videos and pics you want.

This eagle was getting so good at catching jacks that I would only be in the field for about 15 to 20 minutes at the most. The only chance the jacks have is to get into thick coverage where the eagle can't penetrate. I have never tried to double my eagle, cuz, its just not my thing. If he catches, he is done and gets his reward. About 3 months after this video, Zoltar came down with asper. He has recovered and is moulting while I fly the female and get her ready for release. Normally, I fly the eagles through the moult. Noah, thanks for the posting.
