Sweet! My male flies around 600 and he loves jacks. It became pretty simple at the end of last season, if he got a foot on it, it was in the bag! My guys first kill was a young jack his 3rd was a big one. He took 20 jacks in his first season all solo, and thats why I call him Elmer Fudd lol

I am with Kyle. Male HH's can and will take jacks. Build there confidence, and they will slay jacks. Trust me Chuck you will have a freezer full of jacks this season. Get in there quick and assist. You will build confidence and fulfill the hunting partner a HH needs.

I hunt him off the fist and that allows me to get there much faster than if he is moving up ahead of me and goes for one. I let him crop up untill he walked away from his first 3 jacks. When he was heavy he would take longer flights, also would somehow figure out which way the jack was gonna turn. I remember a jack busted way out running straight away, he took off to the jacks right and sure enough the jack turned straight for the cover my bird was heading for and he slammed it. When he didn't have a good hold he would flip over holding on to the jacks butt and put his wings out being dragged looking at me chasing him around untill the jack tried to go through a bush and his wings stopped them. By the way when they loose one they get mad and the next one is in trouble!
