Well, this is not really an answer to a product question, but some may enjoy the images from this Event held up in the Pacific Northwest (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=183358&id=95847325664&ref=mf), organized annually for eighteen years now. It's not a specific Club Event, but rather a Game Dinner and afternoon of eating, music and friends. People came from Canada, Mexico, and even Europe and Utah. In the early evening, an Auction is held to raise money for a Conservation project, but this year the money raised went to the Archives.

Marshall Radio conducted a FoxHunt mid-day, with the winner getting the Pointing Dog Collar, so there's several pictures of that as well as the first images ever of the new Half-Sized Loaded (HSL) Yagi antenna which most will find a great step forward in portability while retaining the same performance as the full-size antenna. And, it's simple to put on to your existing receiver (two phillips screws) to make it suddenly a LOT smaller.

Stay Tuned. If all goes well with the Field Testers, they'' be in production and available soon.

Looks like you guys had a good time. I'm very interested in HSL, any estimated price point?

Hello Jonathan,

Yes, it'll be the same price as the stand-alone yogi has always been: $195.

And, as mentioned on one of the pics, it'll be standard issue on the 2010 receivers for the 2010-2011 Season starting in August or September.

Regards,
RB

Robert on the new HSL thread you say price to be determined and it will be an "optional" upgrade for new receiver purchases. Would it be right assume the newer info is correct?

Yes, I had hoped we could end up producing it for close to the same cost, but that's now crept up a little as we are using some important new materials for the loaded coils.

So it makes more sense to offer it as an an upgrade for the FM100 (the lowest priced receiver), and at a slightly higher price than the current yagi for existing customers who'd like to get one to reduce the size of their current receivers.

What that is, exactly, we have not yet determined. We'll have a firm number here in 2-3 weeks when you see it available for Order on the website.

I need to be more careful when under the influence of intoxicating product improvements and wait until all the final R&D as well as production costs are in. Sorry for that.

(as an aside, if you hit your refresh button when looking at the new Marshall Radio website (http://marshallradio.com/marshall-radio-telemetry-american-falconry) (or clear your cache), you'll see new images, and not the guy with the double-chin anymore)

Hi Robert,

a silly question perhaps?
With a retro change to the new yagi on a 216 receiver, comes a change in the overall dimensions. Is a smaller carry case available to better accomodate the improved receiver?

Best wishes,

Tony.

Yes indeed.

Already in the works, and will be included with the new receivers as well as when one orders just the new antenna. It's just a wee bit different than the 433MHz holsters so a new one had to be made. And, as a Brit, you'll smile when you see the 173 version. . .
