A generous question-answerer suggested this site. Now I can spread out my questions and appreciate all replies. I have my permit but no bird yet; moved so no sponsor now and few falconers close, so there's a big gap between book knowledge and all the details a sponsor would fill in.

Depending on where at in NW Florida, you might not be TOO far from a number of falconers that are in and around Abbeville, AL. They have a meet there around Feb each year.

Thanks. It's quite a ways but wouold be worth it for the meet. Can you send any contact info? To the West I see AL out my window as I type but Abbeville is East and North.

I live in Plant City, about 15-20 minutes east of Tampa, and west of Lakeland.
