View Full Version : Another Harris Hawk Picture

Out in the field again with Ron Brown {CHC president} and the gang of Harris Hawks. I told his bird not to fly into the sun after a rabbit, but, the dang thing didn't listen. I like the effect it gave the picture. This is after the picture was blown up and cropped.

In the top pic you can see where it's already pulled a chunk of fur, just in front of the back leg.

Jimmy and Group,
In the top picture the adult tiercel HH caught the jack. The immature tiercel HH that was with us came in and tried to get a piece of the action and in doing so, the jack got away from both of them to live another day. The 2nd picture was another blacktail jack that was running along the bank about 60 yards away from us. The conditions were rainy morning and then a dark cloudy day,so the lighting was hard to come by with my 300mm lens and a fast running jack.
