Um... ya know I'm not really sure. I had a short chance to see the wickenburg area last spring and wanted to spend more time there but didn't get to. I've heard Casa Grande is up to their butts in jacks this year, and it was originally intended to be the location for this years meet but they couldn't find a worthy hotel. noidea

thanks for responding ,, ya I have hunted in that area as I usually stay down in that area..but this year I seem to be headed a little farther north .
I went to a meet with a bunch of you guys a couple of years ago but we were down more towards marana and we went looking for those monster jacks and I think we were on some Land management area. I also remember this neat little motel that was there and it was its last year for the motel . It was to bad cause it was a nice place ..
My bird was to heavy and I only got in a couple of flights I still have the T shirt but it was when there was 2 factions of people down there and I am glad to hear you guys have worked things out.. Hopefully it will all work out.. and I will see you guys soon or be in contact.

Bump.

..............

Hi everyone. I wanted to update you on the DHC, which is coming up next
week. We've got very good game
populations this year for dirthawkers and even have over a dozen ponds
located. No guarantee there are ducks on them, but most people who make the
effort end up with a duck, so bring your birds and take your chances!

The banquet is shaping up to be a good one. We found a very nice location,
even better than last year, and while I'm not sure I can top last year's
exquisite meal, the menu holds great promise. We're having pork and beef,
but if you can't do either of those, let me know no later than 1/26/11 and
I'll see if I can arrange an option for you.
The banquet is $30 again this year. Children under 3 are free, Children
under 12 are $20.

We will have a couple of speakers, AZ GFD personnel, and small group
workshops. We'll do our apprentice workshop for apprentices and those who
aren't sure yet, some bird coping, and maybe some equipment making if
there's interest. If there are specific topics you'd like to see covered in
workshops, let me know and I'll see what we can do.

There will be a protected weathering yard available again this year.

We will also be having our membership and board meeting Sunday AM. We are
calling for nominations for directors and officers right now. This is a
great chance to make your voice heard and talk to your directors!

Our Free Friday lunch BBQ has been expanded this year. I think you'll like
the results. Noon Friday... Be there!

Pre-registration is now available online at www.azfalconersassoc.org (http://www.azfalconersassoc.org/). This
is also a great chance to renew your membership at the same time. If you are
not a member, or if your membership has lapsed please consider joining AFA.
We work hard to represent Arizona falconers and are working hard on a number
of issues right now. We need your support; not just financially, but we need
to be able to show a strong membership to the powers that be if we're going
to be heard!

If you are attending the banquet, please pre-register if possible, so we
make sure to have enough food. If you can't pre-register but know you're
coming to the banquet, please let me know via email.

As always, we need raffle items! Last year we had our best raffle ever and
we aim to top that. We have a variety of items including telemetry gear, but
we're begging for more. If you need raffle info, contact Michael Mills at
mgmills520@q.com.

If you're not a falconer but are interested in attending, you are welcome to
all of our events. If you want to go out and watch people hunt with their
hawks, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

As always, if you have questions, please feel free to contact me or any of
the other club officers or directors. The meet crew contact info is on the
attached flyer.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the meet!
