Merry Christmas!

I thought male coopers when I first grabbed the camera, but the beak looks tiny, the eyes look big, and the legs are twiggy. What do you think?

Hard to tell through a zoomed in camera screen, definitely easier to tell once they are uploaded on the computer. Wish there were more of these little guys in Missouri.

Nice, look at all that snow. Let's get out and chase something in it. :)

More hawks in the area than I've ever seen. Wee Man even crabbed with a Goshawk behind Target last weekend. I had zero luck when I tried trapping it though. Kurt

Wow, you guys sure did get a ton of snow up that way? I assume you are living in the northern part of the state? Down here in the South West corner we got little flurries, nothing really that stuck. :( Beautiful pictures!

Hey Meagan, I'm in Union, just west of STL. We only ended up with about 3 inches. The camera was zoomed in as far as I could get it and still focus. She was sitting on top of a porch swing yesterday and directly above one of the feeders today.http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af247/bugsmasher7/100_8534.jpg
The pic isn't very good since it was between blinds, through a screen with the flash turned off, but you can see the characteristic sharpie tail. She saw me when I was trying to get a better shot:http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af247/bugsmasher7/100_8536.jpg

I know what you mean about all the hawks, literally every fence post in some areas.

Check your PMs, I'm off this week, we should go hawking.

I'd be giving her a baggie quail and flying a sharpie over the next year! ;)
