  1. Rob I never saw your message. I havent ever checked my visitor messages---didnt even know what that was. I hope your kestrel is ok. Sounds like it has a damaged extensor tendon. Shouldnt be too much of a problem as long as you keep the talon cut short.
  2. hope you don't mind me asking a question thru here,but I figured I would give it a shot.
    I trapped a very small passage male AK a little over a month ago from day 1 every once and a while he would be standing with his far right talon on his right foot under his toe then he would bate and it would straighten again and look like it was fine no damage, no swelling or anything ,but for the last week its been staying closed if I open it it goes right back.Now,Yesterday I notice the same thing starting to happen on his left foot to his hallux. any insight would be appreciated.
