Past weekend was opening for Pheasant season, this week we have thousands of out of state hunters seemingly in every field. My bird and I are kicking back until the early fringy is over. Grouse numbers look good, had some sharptails fly through town and lots of chickens near by. Leaving my spots alone until we are ready for a serious attempt. Have two dogs to manage My old faithful GSP, and a new Springer Spaniel pup.
If gave a couple of prairie chicken contacts for NAFA to use during the meet. There are chickens near Kanopolis if anyone is interested. Could be a better alternative than the flint hills northeast of Hutchinson. -- Scott
