    Jeremy,

Have you cashed the checks from the CO Hawking club banquet? Don't think I saw it go through my account.

Just let me know what information you need. Hopefully trapping will commence this Tuesday. I'm getting pretty excited/nervous. Glad I talked to you before taking the plunge into Merlins. I'm glad you talked me out a a merlin, a Prairie will be a much better base. Definitely not ready for one of those little ferraris yet, but someday. Thanks again.

I would like to know how much it would cost for a female kestrel hood.

  7. Jeff and Richard,

I would be happy to share info, photos, and specs on my partial hoop trap with you guys. I'll get some better photos together in a day or two. It is in rough shape right now from catching a handful of birds this past week.

I use 6lb Maxima Chameleon (brown) mono, and my uprights are bent in such a way that they hold the noose in position. Better photos will make it easier to see.

Hey Jeremy, do you want to share your phai trap design. I have a round one and a merlin snatched the sparrow out of without getting caught. Ended up trapping it using a noose carpet and the sparrow it killed on the phai. Richard Burnett
  9. I'm interested in the modified hoop trap, it seems that you picture of the trap is self explanatory, however what type of mono (if mono) due use use for merlins ? how do you make the nooses perfectly positioned (both standing up and at a right angle ?

I was never a believer in that trap because I thought the falcon would swoop over the trap (now I know better) I am now willing to make one.

I would appreciate your reply and thank you for the input on the site ( a lot of great ideas on this site)

    Sincerly,

    Jeff
