Government, and most people to be fair, aren't so great with change. It has been a bit helter skelter. However if you contact GA DNR Special Permits Division, you should find your feet on the right...
We passed the new federal regs as is. I heard there is a new test that is supposed to be more relevant to GA falconers.
Not sure on whether our test changed or not. No such thing as too much studying probably;)
We will be under the new federal regs.
Welcome and good luck. Hopefully our regs will be changing here in less than a week, so it will be easier and cheaper for you to get started.
I have it on a male hh now for two years. Last year I tethered him as I dropped weight and instant scale problems. This year same thing. Otherwise I love it.
Thanks everyone so much. He has improved some. I still don't think he will make it back to a falconry bird, but I do think he will make it. Hard to see the little guy not just full of fire and fury.
Great to see you here and congrats on the many milestones achieved in your life. Atlanta...............are you crazy.:D
Thank you all very much!
Is this treys Danny?
Finn is probably done for the season. I parked in the back of a parking lot and slipped him on some sparrows. The pursuit was fast, furious and long and just as Finn turned for the bind and car...
Ummm I think the correct term is canary eater lol
Hehe poor gal
You could have found a better sponsor to start with haha.
A recent pic
How is he doing now Isaac? Any more luck? Yesterday I couldn't go till really late and got a few slips, but they all ended in trees as the birds got off the ground before Finn even got out the...
What is crazy is that you have a sub 200 g falconry bird and it is still a giant lol
Mc D states most start at 90 but soon find themselves at 87g. He tones on to say there is apparently very little variation of size in the males.
They almost don't even look like the same species do they. Someone posted a good pic of a female recently and the legs are ENORMOUS compared to Finn's. I asked on another thread if anyone...
Congrats. Sounds both exciting and scary. Glad you got him back!
90 g yesterday.
Glad you are getting to realize your dream. Thanks so much for your service to our country!
I am just starting on the hunting, but so far I would have to agree. He didn't naturally go out the window as easily as some other birds, but once he did, he makes catching birds seem pretty easy. ...
Thanks Jeff! Today Finn caught first starling he has ever seen and I was surprised how easily he handled it.
