These are pictures that my friend Lowell Washburn took on a recent hawking trip. We spotted a rooster in this willow thicket. Removing the jesses, also in my truck Lowells female peales and his finnish gos male.

The flight looked like she should have it, but went behind the hill. She was gone for awhile , but came back before we could start to track her down.
