Black eyes, always the most obvious give away for a falcon of any species but one (one kestrel species has white eyes...weird). They have them when young, old, in between.

Well, yes, there IS that too... haha! Not sure I ever really thought about it until you pointed it out though Pete!

Yes as Mark has mentioned, Chuck is a male imprint Prairie My first venture into imprint falcons and I thought i'd go for what i've always wanted. I thought you Americans would have spotted the prairieness a mile off
