Default Hi from newbie in Utah

Hello everyone. I just wanted to say hi and tell everyone that I'm excited to be a part of this forum. I'm just starting to get into Falconry and I'm trying to absorb everything that I can read/hear/learn from everyone. I've always had a love for birds of all types but I think I'm finally ready to get involved with falconry.
If anyone knows of someone that might be willing to help me get more acquainted with the the sport locally here in northern Utah please let me know. I look forward to reading and sharing with everyone. Thanks!

Hmmm, I think he is looking for one! Or at least someone to go out with according to his introduction post.

There is also going to be a "Falconry Apprentice Workshop" held starting monday and going for a couple weeks.

Please e-mail skymasterswildlife@hotmail.com for more details.

Great to see more folks get into this.

    Caleb & Josh,

Be careful who you decide to have sponsor you. Ask around about their reputation and actually go out with them and watch them "hunt" with their birds (not just go fly on a pigeon or lure fly). There are a lot of bad falconers that make worse sponsors here in Utah, and if you don't know any better you'll end up learning their same mistakes and never know it was bad falconry.

Thanks for the workshop reference Caleb. I'm going to try and go for sure. It sounds like a great way to get started locally.
