I have seen a few ads before but they were for the other forum I follow and it's only been a few times, they aren't pop-ups I almost didn't realize what it was, but like I said they were advertisements for sponsors of that forum. Honestly the app is a great tool very user friendly, I prefer the app over getting on the computer and visiting the site. I think it would be worth a try if you are on the fence about it, it makes uploading pictures and videos from your phone so much easier than on the computer or website and if you follow more than 1 forum it's all on the same place and fast to switch between sites.
