    Default Goshawks in watercolour

I think I'm pretty much finished this one off. Its the first one I've done from two separate photos and merged them. Also the first head studies I've done. Its a lot easier to do all the details when they are so much bigger! The adult gos belongs to a forum member, the juvie was a shot I took of one of Brunottes (sorry if I spelled that wrong) female goses at the 2007 NAFA meet in colorado.

    11X17 watercolour on paper.

Enjoy - I had fun doing it!

Its not often I see a raptor painting done that I epect to walk off the page, but you certainly have achieved that with these head studies.

I am very picky about raptor art, particulalry goshawk paintings. You have done a great job with these.

    Great work!

If I have enough interest I will - it is expensive for the set up so unless there are 5 people who are interested it doesn't really work for me.

Thanks Geoff (and everyone else) for the very kind compliments!

    I had fun with it.

Now what to do next? I could use a good eagle picture. I haven't done an eagle in colour yet. Or even a good red-tail shot.

I have 2 interested in prints, if I can get 3 more interested I can get them to you for $60 plus shipping. Archival ink, 100lb paper professionally printed.

Please let me know before end of next week, as I can't get the scanning done where I live now - but will be able to do it over christmas break.
