    He said that his friend that took the pics killed the snake and that the Red Shoulder lived.

    That RSHA had to be quite hungry to take on a snake that thick... yikes! Glad the bird lived.

    I'm sorry I disagree with killing the snake. That is nature. I don't believe in interfering in a natural event. Sure if you want to save the hawk, remove the snake and let it go. No need to kill the snake

    I would hope that bird was taken to a rehab or vet to get checked over. Bet it had at least a few small fractures the way that snake is wound around the bird.
