I'm sorry I disagree with killing the snake. That is nature. I don't believe in interfering in a natural event. Sure if you want to save the hawk, remove the snake and let it go. No need to kill the snake

I would hope that bird was taken to a rehab or vet to get checked over. Bet it had at least a few small fractures the way that snake is wound around the bird.
