Michgan Hawking Club Falconry Workshop

The Michigan Hawking Club will be hosting it's third Falconry Workshop on Saturday, July 21, 2012. This workshop is designed for apprentices and aspiring falconers. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet falconers in an intense one day session that covers a lot of information.

Workshop Event Topics will include:

• Basic Mew Design
• Evaluating a newly trapped bird
• Basic Raptor Housing and Care
• Apprentice/Sponsor Contracts
• Legal and Ethical Considerations in the practice of falconry
• Basic Falconry Equipment Construction (anklets, jesses, leashes)
• Round table discussions
